CFCoordSpecs.get_rename_dims_args(obj, locations=None, specialize=False)[source]

Get args for renaming dimensions that are not coordinates

Parameters:

  • obj (xarray.DataArray, xarray.Dataset) – Array or dataset

  • locations (dict, None) – Dict of staggerd grid locations with names as keys

  • specialize (bool) – Do not use the CF name for renaming, but the first name as listed in specs, which is generally a specialized one, like a name adopted by specialized dataset.

Returns:

dict – Argument compatible with xarray.Dataset.rename()
