Check if an attribute is matching a location

Parameters:

• attr ({'name', 'standard_name', 'long_name'}) – Attribute name

• root (str)

• loc (str, {"any", None}, {"", False}) –

  • str: one of these locations

  • None or “any”: any

  • False or ‘””: no location

Returns:

bool or loc
